Have you always wanted to learn how to sew? Whether you’re picking up a needle and thread for the first time or finally taking that sewing machine out of the box, this is your moment. Our private sewing classes are perfect for anyone who wants to learn sewing and fashion at their own pace. We start with the basics and guide you step by step, making learning to sew fun, rewarding, and stress-free. This course is great for complete beginners or anyone who needs a refresher. You’ll learn how to confidently use a sewing machine and create a pair of drawstring pants using a commercial sewing pattern. WHAT YOU’LL LEARN How to thread a sewing machine How to re-thread a sewing machine (because it matters!) How to read seam allowances How to read and use a sewing pattern How to make shorts and garments that actually fit you Beginner stitches you can use to make about 90% of everyday clothing for yourself and loved ones PREREQUISITE: None, just come ready to learn! COURSE DETAILS Format: In-person Duration: 2 hours once a week for 5 weeks SUPPLIES All supplies are provided Fabric is included, but you’re welcome to bring your own (Fabric type and yardage requirements will be shared on day one) Sewing patterns are included in the class price Book a class and take the first step toward creating handmade pieces you’ll feel proud to wear
