Whether you’re ready to pick up a needle and thread for the first time or finally take that sewing machine out of the box, this is your chance! Sewing 101 takes you back to the basics, guiding you step-by-step through all the essentials to make learning to sew fun, rewarding, and inspiring. Perfect for complete beginners or anyone needing a refresher, this course will teach you how to confidently use any sewing machine and create a pair of drawstring pants from a commercial pattern! WHAT YOU'LL LEARN - How to thread the sewing machine! - How to re-thread the sewing machine :) - How to read seam allowance - How to read a sewing pattern - How to makes shorts and clothing that fit you! - Beginner stitches that you can use to make 90% of clothing for you and loved ones! PREREQUISITE: None, iust come willing to learn COURSE DETAILS Format: In-person classes Duration: 2 hours once a week for 5 weeks 6pm-8pm Supplies: - All supplies are provided. -FABRIC IS INCLUDED, but you’re welcome to bring your own! Yardage and fabric type requirements will be shared on day one. - Sewing patterns are included in the class price. Cancellation Policy
WORKSHOP CANCELLATION POLICY. Thank you for choosing SiaDezigns! PLEASE READ We do not issue refunds for any workshop registrations. If you register for a workshop and later cannot attend, we will gladly provide a credit toward a future event if you notify us at least 72 hours before the workshop. To cancel and request a credit, please email siadezigns@gmail.com. We are unable to offer credits or honor reschedule requests with less than 72 hours’ notice. Arrival Policy Our classes begin promptly. Please arrive no earlier than 15 minutes before the start time to allow time to set up your sewing space. Students who arrive 20 minutes or more after the class start time will not be admitted, and the class fee will be forfeited. Class Minimums SIADEZIGNS reserves the right to cancel a class due to low enrollment. A minimum of 4 students is required for a class to run. If a class is canceled by SIADEZIGNS, registration fees will be refunded or transferred to a future class. Supply Lists Supply lists are available upon registration. If a list is not yet available at that time, you will be notified as soon as it becomes available. Photo & Video Release By registering for a class, you grant SIADEZIGNS permission to photograph or record you or your child during participation in classes. You also grant permission for these images or videos to be used for promotional purposes, including but not limited to print materials, the website, and social media. Weather Policy If a class is canceled or rescheduled due to inclement weather, you will receive a credit to attend another class at a later date.
